The Central Fire District Vehicle Maintenance Facility is responsible for maintaining the operational readiness of the Department’s fleet apparatus and support vehicles. The Fleet Maintenance Division also provides contract services for fleet maintenance to other District and County agencies located within the County of Santa Cruz.
Our mechanics perform routine and emergency repairs, safety inspections, preventative maintenance, pump testing, opacity testing and communications equipment installation among other duties.
We strive to be thorough and professional in the operation of the Fleet Services Division in order to provide vehicle, equipment and services to the officials and employees of the District and County so that they may promote the health, safety and quality of life of the residents of the county. Our mechanic services comply with all County, State and Federal laws, rules, regulations and objectives for fire apparatus fleet maintenance.
