Director Darbro was elected to the to the Aptos/La Selva Board of Directors in 2018, and continued with the new consolidated Central Fire District Board of Directors in February 2021. Director Darbro is a former Battalion Chief for Santa Clara County Fire Department. He comes to the Board with 36 years of fire service experience and 14 years representing Northern CA fire districts on the FIRESCOPE Task Force. Director Darbro has lived and been involved in the La Selva Beach community for 25 years.
Director Lucchesi was elected to the Aptos/La Selva Board of Directors in 2016, and continued with the consolidated Central Fire District Board of Directors in February 2021. He was born and raised in the Soquel mountains. His father was a volunteer firefighter for Soquel FD in the late 1970's. He currently lives in the Soquel mountains with his wife and two daughters, and has 20 years of fire service experience, 15 of which were in Santa Cruz County, working as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Scotts Valley FD. He currently works for Santa Clara County FD.
Director Radliff was elected to the Board of Directors in 2020. He has been a resident of Capitola for 27 years, and is married with 2 adult daughters. He has served 34 years in the fire service, 25 of which as a Fire Captain for Santa Clara County, until his retirement in December 2019. He holds an AS Degree in Fire Protection Technology, a State Certified Fire Officer and a Hazardous Material Specialist certification. Over his career, he managed programs, trained personnel and served on a Special Operations Rescue task force as a Fire Officer.
Director Ronco was elected to the Board of Directors in 2020. He is a retired Fire Captain, with approximately 34 years of experience in the fire service with Santa Clara County Fire Dept. He has an Associate's degree in Fire Science from Mission College, and a Bachelor's in Professional Studies from Cal State Long Beach. He has lived in Santa Cruz County since 2013.
Director Scanlon was elected to the Aptos/La Selva Board of Directors in 2018, and continued with the newly consolidated Central Fire District Board of Directors in February 2021. He is a retired Battalion Chief, with 30 years experience in the fire service. As a Chief Officer, he was also a member of the County Training Officers Association, and the County Overhead Support Team. Prior to that, he was a Captain/Paramedic. Director Scanlon has lived in Aptos for over 12 years, and enjoys volunteering for the Ride-a-Wave program, which provides children with special needs a fun day at the beach.
