Plan Submittal

Central Fire District conducts plan reviews of all new residential and commercial construction for compliance with fire and life safety codes. The District works in conjunction with the City of Capitola, and the Santa Cruz County Building and Planning Departments for all new construction and tenant improvements within Central Fire District’s jurisdiction.

Deferred Plan Submittal Requirements (Fire Sprinkler, Fire Alarm, etc.)

  • One completed Deferred Submittal Application Form
  • Minimum of TWO hard copies of the plans
  • Minimum of TWO hard copies of all other corresponding documents (cut sheets, etc.)

Plans are to be submitted at our Community Risk Reduction Office located at 930 17th Ave., Santa Cruz, CA 95062.

Plan review turnaround time is a minimum of 14 business days.

Note: Plan review fees are due upon plan pick-up.
