The Central Fire District has an investigation team comprised of personnel who are certified by the state of California as Fire Investigators.
All fires are investigated to determine their origin and cause. If the cause of a fire is found to be intentional or suspicious, the investigator will collaborate with local law enforcement personnel to complete the investigation.
District Fire Investigators gather evidence and conduct interviews related to fires. The collected information and evidence are analyzed to determine the fire's origin and cause. Fire Investigators are required to maintain and file detailed reports on each investigation they conduct.
