CPR is a lifesaving technique that is useful in many emergency situations, including heart attacks and near-drownings in which someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. Knowing how to preform CPR can dramatically increase the chance of survival for patients in these types of emergency situations if bystanders can begin CPR until emergency responders arrive on-scene.
Central Fire District does not currently offer CPR classes, but there are many excellent CPR class providers located within Santa Cruz County where these skills can be learned.
