Central Fire District of Santa Cruz County will be holding their Annual Open House on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, at the Aptos Fire Station #5 at 6934 Soquel Drive, Aptos, from 11 AM - 3 PM.
Come visit our fire station and meet your local firefighters & other emergency service professionals at our annual Open House!
The Central Fire District Open House is a free and fun event for all ages, featuring representatives from local Law Enforcement, Red Cross, local CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) teams and other public safety agencies in Santa Cruz County.
Held at the beginning of Fire Prevention Week, the theme for this year is “Cooking Safety Starts with You. Pay Attention to Fire Prevention.™” Cooking is the leading cause of fires in the United States, with an average of 166,400 fires annually (statistic from the NFPA).
Fire apparatus will be on display, and a variety of exciting demonstrations will be given throughout the day. Get your photo with Sparky the Fire Dog, take a shot at our Dunk Tank or Bounce House, and enjoy a variety of refreshments and activities while learning about fire and life safety.
