New Additions to Central FD Website

New Website Changes

We've added two new pages to our District Website at CentralFireSC.org

NEW: Kids Corner Page

Our new Kids Corner Page has a number of activities, games, coloring pages and more for our younger viewers. Kids (and parents) can click the "Ask a Firefighter" button to get their questions answered about life as a firefighter, fire safety, or other burning questions for our staff.  They can also download and print the most current page for our monthly Coloring Contest for kids aged 4-12. This page will continue to be updated monthly with new and interesting fire safety activities for our youngest residents.

NEW: Fire Code Adoption Page

The Board of Supervisors will be considering adoption of a county-wide revised Fire Code for all Districts in Santa Cruz County. Our Community Risk Reduction Team has been working with other local fire agencies to present a draft ordinance to the Board of Supervisors to adopt the updated 2022 California Fire Code with local changes at an upcoming meeting (date TBA, in November or December of 2022).  To better include the public, we added this page to give further information on this process, timeline and proposed changes to the fire code.

For questions on this process, email Fire Marshal Mike DeMars

We are working to make our site as comprehensive, transparent and informative to our public, and invite any and all suggestions as to how to improve it for the people we serve. If you have ideas for what you would like to have included on our District website, email us with your suggestions. Thank you!
